Coupling Dualism: don't change the essence, meet the coupling conditions

The same water freezes into ice at 0 degrees and vaporizes into steam at 100 degrees — the water doesn't change, what changes is the condition called temperature. The same iron, mixed with a little carbon and heated to a high enough temperature, becomes steel — its hardness and toughness all change; the iron doesn't change, what changes is that the coupling conditions of carbon and temperature have been met. The result is decided by the coupling conditions, not by the essence itself. To change an essence you cannot change, don't force the essence — go meet the conditions; once the conditions change, the result changes with them.
