The Gap: a gap is not a thing, yet it genuinely leaks
At night the room keeps making a sound. You turn every light on, search every corner, and find nothing. Finally you see it: the crack between the window and the wall is leaking air — the sound is wind squeezing through the gap. You were hunting for a 'thing', but the sound wasn't made by any thing; it was made by the gap. Structure-First Cognition calls this the Gap: a gap is not a thing, yet it genuinely leaks. The dark matter and dark energy physicists have chased for a century may be the same mistake — not in 'things', but in the unclosed gaps of structure.

Coupling Dualism: A-end and non-A-end — remove one, the other dies
A coin with only one side is no longer a coin — the front is 'front' only because a back is holding it up. Up is defined by down, cold by heat, light by dark, life by death. You cannot find a single thing that exists 'alone'; they are all born in pairs. Coupling Dualism in Structure-First Cognition says the deepest layer of the universe is exactly this meta-dual template: A-end and non-A-end — remove one, the other does not exist. On the surface everything differs; underneath, the code is the same. Possibility is the superposition state, constraint is the collapse force; remove either and the world falls apart.

Three-Three Rule: any problem, three cuts to the core
Cut a watermelon: one cut gives two faces, three cuts lay the whole flesh out in front of you. A hard problem is the same — don't rush to the answer; first ask three angles: Where did it come from? Where is it stuck? What is it connected to? Three cuts through, and the answer floats up on its own. Structure-First Cognition calls this the Three-Three Rule: any problem, three cuts to the core; one cut, three faces. The second half matters more — use it and you understand it, understand it and it becomes your method. You don't think it through first and then act; you understand it the moment you use it. Problems aren't meant to be 'figured out' — they're meant to be 'used through'.
